This likely isn't the right place for this discussion but I don't know where to ask this question so here is goes...
I'm looking at ModelRight for our corporation but some questions keep popping up regarding hardware fingerprinting.
Does ModelRight (MR) have a licensing scheme that removes the hardware fingerprint or a site/corpoate license where the fingerprint is not required? What if the product needs to be implemented on more than a few machines? The administration of the MR software becomes an issue once more than a few people start using the product.
Does MR have a policy that in the event of the MR company becomes unavailability, a mechanism is provided to customers to allow them to continue using the product without limitation from the hardware fingerprint. In these types of situations (such as the dissolution of a company), this could be handled through an escrow agreement where a customer is given the source code so they may continue to internally support their use of the product. Is there a policy in place?
I like the product but I need to know that I'm not going to be diabled by the MR distribution/licensing scheme in the event of a company failure. What are my options?
